Killarney Lakes

Killarney's Three Lakes are the diamonds in it's landscape. Valleys gouged out during the ice age
now form the lakes. These lakes with their hinterlands of mountains, woodland, valleys and parkland
give rise to a magnificent confusion of utter beauty.

This is a wonderful example of a fourteenth century Irish castle ~ fully restored and open to
the public. Set on the shore of the Lower Lake ~ a magical position. From here one can take boat
trips on the lake or walk through beautiful Ross Island.

Torc Waterfall

This is a wonderful natural waterfall ~ 20m high, set in woodlands only 300m from the
road. Water, woodland and tranquility ~ depicts in miniature what Killarney has to offer.

Built in the early fifteenth century it was destroyed by Cromwellian Forces in 1652. It is one of
the best ecclesiastical ruins in Ireland. It is situated in the National Park close to Muckross House.
